2016 online achievements of Surrey businesses celebrated

Accolades across sixteen categories were presented to deserving organisations at the HG Wells Conference & Events Centre in Woking, Surrey on March 10th

The VoicesUK British voiceover platform team were proud to be at the Surrey Digital Awards event compered by former BBC broadcaster Robin Bailey who presented Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes to a host of worthy winners.

We are extremely pleased to have picked up awards in the ‘Website: Entertainment’ and ‘Website: Marketing & Creative’ categories. Rebecca Bentham, VoicesUK assistant and voiceover artist made the multiple treks to the winners’ enclosure with great aplomb. It was an evening of celebration with some inspiring addresses and worthy speeches.

Rob Bloom, Group Head of Digital & Social Media at McLaren F1, based in Woking, gave a motivational key note speech prior to the awards ceremony about the global firm’s digital marketing strategy.

Video introductions were announced by Clare Reeves, voiceover artist on VoicesUK (click to view her showcase). Other special guests included voiceover artist Lorraine Ansell, also on VoicesUK, Cllr Linda Kemeny from the headline sponsor Surrey County Council, Chief Executive of Surrey Chambers of Commerce, Louise Punter, Editor of the Surrey Mirror, Dee Blaylock, and Conrad Murray from associate sponsor Nero Blanco IT.

Joe Wakeford, Managing Director of VoicesUK said, “I was made a very proud MD tonight winning two awards for the VoicesUK team. Congratulations to all involved. We take recognitions of achievement seriously and gratefully appreciate the efforts of our talented voice artist family in continuing to build the platform year on year.”

The Surrey Digital Awards was set up in 2015 solely to showcase online work. SDA16 was headline sponsored by Surrey County Council and backed by the Mirror, Nero Blanco IT, Surrey Chambers of Commerce, Gatwick Airport, Woking Borough Council and Capricorn Media.
