Before training to be an actor I was for twenty years a professional French horn player, and a member of The Philharmonia for ten of them.
I was part of The Voiceover Store, and have worked and have experience in a number of vocal genres. I would say that I have a naturally strong, rich and warm voice, but it can be very adaptable and I am good with accents.
I recently recorded A Short History of Trains for Dorling Kindersley in my home studio….it was not short…….
As an actor I have been in West End shows – The Sound of Music, La Cage aux Folles, Fiddler on the Roof. A lot of Shakespeare and others with the brilliant Guildford Shakespeare Company. A Hertz commercial that won some award, and recently filmed Doctors and The Sister Boniface Mysteries for the BBC, and Professor T for ITV.
I have 4 children, a dog, guinea pigs, and many tanks of tropical fish, toads, leaf insects etc.
