Melanie is an award winning, experienced, trained British voice actor. Her voice has warmth, resonance, reassurance and the gravitas to deal with serious and difficult subject matter. Grit and good humour elevate her voice from run-of-the mill polished professional VO to a voice that will help transform your project into something singular and special. She reads with a no-nonsense, down-to-earth honesty and authenticity that results in genuine naturalism - something rare among VOs.
Her versatility is impressive: she's great with comedy and has a fantastic ear for accents but there’s a basic kindness and a hard-wearing, well-constructed mature quality to her voice that helps her to convey the drama in any narrative - whether its the climax of a tense scene in a novel or a 30 second radio commercial.

Melanie studied Drama to degree level, graduating in the early 90s but didn’t act professionally until 25. She brings with her the experience of working self-employed and as a department director for the events and film industries. She thinks creatively and is a problem-solver, ready to pitch in and collaborate.
Melanie works from her professional studio at home in Sheffield where she lives with her border terrier, Spike.
