Using my voice for my work started when my career in the entertainment business began in 1986 as the next stage on from drama classes. Theatre shows to 2,500 guests per house helped to develop my stand-up routine, and I took my act onto the professional cabaret circuit during Summer seasons. Winter saw production shows and pantomimes, playing a variety of characters over the years. Working to a live audience was a constant lesson in improvisation.

The years of live performance, production shows, pantomime work, Stanislavski technique, research, rehearsal & writing have been a never-ending apprenticeship for learning how to properly develop real characters with depth and, conversely, how to develop and manage caricatures when appropriate.

I’m so grateful to all the teachers, artists and audiences for the experiences and lessons I’ve learned along the way, which have given me the skills to really get into clients’ scripts, be they character, narration, commercials, gaming or trailers, to bring characters to life and to really lift the text off the page.
